Inspired by an antique faceted mirror and founded upon his ability to converge traditional and contemporary design elements into a singular point of view, Smith’s latest collection represents the epitome of elegance. The gilded bricks can be used as a feature wall, bordering a fireplace or as an eye-catching backsplash. “The antiquing of the fine metals is designed to subdue their impact, but these tiles undeniably add a touch of jewelry to any installation,” said Smith. 

Each tile is hand-crafted using a proprietary process that fuses together sheets of hand-hammered rose gold, antique gold, white gold or platinum leaf between polished, faceted glass, its illuminative qualities capturing and reflecting light within a room.

Exclusive to ANN SACKS, Michael S Smith Gilt is available in 2x2, 2x4, 2x5, 2x8, 3x3, 3x6, 3x12, 4x4, and 4x8 beveled brick fields. Suitable for all residential and commercial vertical wall applications, it can be used in interior installations and is frost proof allowing it to work for certain exterior installations subject to moderate climate and method of installation.
